Low body fat/mastectomy/reconstruction/implants

Hello! This group has been such a great resource, and I am so thankful for the help I have received thus far.

I am on the thin side, and will be undergoing reconstruction with over the muscle implants. My doctor assured me they would be able to locate enough fat in my thighs for the fat transfer to help cover up rippling. But, I am still feeling a bit apprehensive about aesthetics. Either way, I am moving forward with the mastectomy/reconstruction. But, I am wondering how those with low body fat feel about the look of their implants. Thank you!

Lifting weights after preventative mastectomy/reconstruction

Hi all,

I'm about two months out from my preventative mastectomy surgery date. One of my big worries is I won't be able to lift weight anymore like I do now. For women who lift moderately heavy/heavy, how has your experience been? My doctor assures me I won't have a problem, but I'm still nervous. Lifting weights is really important to me, and my lifestyle. It's saved my mental and physical health. I'm doing over-the-muscle implants. MSKCC doesn't even offer under-the-muscle. And, that's fine because I wanted to mitigate as much risk as possible when it came to potentially limited physical activity afterward.

I've read of some experiences on r/bikinitalk (for female bodybuilders who compete in bikini competitions) with just breast augmentation/lifting. But, the mastectomy adds a whole other layer of complication.

Thanks!
