My 3-year-old wanted GTA in Sfax, so we coded Sfax.AI
My 3-year-old son asked me to take him to Sfax.
I told him: “Not today.”
He paused for 2 seconds, processed the rejection, and immediately proposed the only logical solution:
“Okay, let’s play GTA in Sfax.”
Honestly, I respect the problem-solving.
The reason is probably my fault. He always sees me playing GTA 5, so in his mind every city should have a playable version. Los Santos exists, so why not Sfax? Why can’t we drive around Beb Diwan, get stuck in 18 Janvier traffic, do a mission near the Medina, and then somehow end up looking for parking for 40 minutes like in real life?
The dangerous part is that we already created a few small games together before, so when I said “GTA Sfax doesn’t exist,” he didn’t hear “impossible.”
He heard: “new project.”
So we started building.
He gave very professional 3-year-old feedback:
“Add cars.”
“Add people.”
“Make him run.”
“No, not like that.”
“Baba, fix it.”
After some coding, random testing, many “why is it not working?”, and a very demanding product manager who sometimes leaves the meeting to eat yogurt, we ended up with a first version:
It’s not GTA Sfax yet. For now, it’s more like: “walk around and imagine the chaos later.”
But he learned a lot, and honestly I did too. It started as a funny idea, but it became a small 3D experience around Sfax, West lebled, and the feeling of exploring the city virtually.
Now we want feedback before the next version.
What would you add to make this more fun?
More realistic streets?
Walking mode?
Cars and traffic?
Missions around Beb Diwan?
Kerkennah boat mission?
Food quests?
Voice in Tounsi/Sfaxian dialect?
NPCs saying “ti barra zammer” or "sa3ida" every 30 seconds?
Please give honest feedback. The founder is 3 years old, but he already has strong opinions and refuses to accept “technical limitation” as an answer
