Ash between us
She lit me
then learned to hate the fire.
Her love came laced with iron,
sweetness rusting on the tongue.
I grew
and she named it betrayal.
Two mirrors facing
cracking under truth,
bleeding reflections.
Her gaze, a blade
measuring, cutting, keeping score.
I was her shadow once.
Now I am the light
that burns her outline to ash.
