Arabian falconry
I’ve been studying falconry for a long time, especially the traditional practices that were used in the Arab world for generations.
One thing that always fascinated me is how Arabian falconers developed such a deep understanding of peregrine falcons long before modern training tools existed.
It wasn’t just about hunting — it was about reading behavior, building trust, and understanding the bird on a psychological level.
Today, with modern equipment and training methods, I sometimes feel that part of this traditional knowledge is being overlooked or simplified.
I’m curious to hear from experienced falconers here:
What do you think modern falconry is missing compared to traditional methods?
