Help distinguishing cracks in finish from cracks in wood

I bought a b-stock boden essential 6 off reverb and noticed two areas around the neck with small cracks. They aren't easy to see unless you're in the correct light and are pretty small. I'm still within the 30 day return policy. The strandberg rep I've exchanged messages with on reverb says these are finish cracks and he doesn't expect them to get worse with time. I'm completely ok with cosmetic imperfections and expected that given this is b-stock, but would want to return/exchange the guitar if these are cracks in the wood that may get worse over time with constant sting tension. Does anyone have any advice or knowledge in this area? Do you think these are simply cracks in the finish? I really love the guitar and would rather just keep it, given that the structural integrity isn't compromised. Any help appreciated!
