I’m trying to future-proof my SEO strategy because search is changing so fast with AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and AI search assistants becoming more important.

What agencies are actually good at preparing companies for both traditional SEO and AI search visibility? Most agencies still seem stuck using old SEO strategies, and I’m worried about investing in tactics that won’t matter in 2–3 years.

I’m honestly struggling to understand where this is all going… if AI answers keep giving users everything directly in search results, then traffic and clicks are obviously going to drop.

So what does success in HEO actually look like now? Is it still about website visits, or is the goal just getting your brand mentioned inside AI-generated answers?

I’m more interested in firms that treat AI as a support tool — like for research, outlines, or optimization — while still keeping real human input for strategy, storytelling, and originality.

From what I’ve seen (and even discussed here on Reddit), the hybrid approach tends to work best — AI for speed, humans for depth and authenticity.

Curious to know — which firms actually follow this approach in practice? Any real experiences or recommendations?
