Itinerary check, group of 5

Hello! I’ve been appreciating the advice in the subreddit for a few months now. We leave next month and I’m having some second thoughts about our itinerary. I could potentially change parts of it as the hotels are still cancellable. I continue to see people say it’s not worth travelling to a city for only 2 or 3 days but this is what would work to let us see what we are interested in.
3 adults 2 kids (11-13). Likely we will not be able to make a return trip. 2 adults are leaving our party after Osaka and it will be me and the kids for the last 5 days.

June 23-26 Tokyo. Arrival flight to Narita. Stay in Asakusa. Sensoji, skytree, maybe Tokyo Edo Museum. We will not be widely traveling the city, more likely to stay in a neighborhood and wander.
June 26-29 Kyoto near Kiyomizaderu.
June 29-30 Koyasan overnight at Ekoin Temple
June 30-July 2 Osaka Denden/Dotonbori/Osaka Castle/Pokemon cafe (have reservations)
(2 adults leave at this point)
July 2-4 Hiroshima/Miyajima. Afternoon in Hiroshima and then 2 nights in Miyajima.
July 4-7 Tokyo. Train from Hiroshima to Himeji then Tokyo on July 4. Hatchobori area probably do Akihabara/Diver City. Already have tickets for a Swallows game!
Flight home Narita.

We are very much looking forward to the Koyasan trip. I know it’s a long way to go for an overnight but we think it will be worth it.
We plan on doing luggage transfer from the major cities to the next major city and just doing overnight bags for the Koyasan and Miyajima trips.

I’m sure this trip would be considered a lot by some people but is it so bad I’m risking ruining the trip? I’m open to not running around all day every day and just enjoying the areas closest to our hotels.
Since we have the kids I’d prefer to be able to let them go back to the hotel once or twice during the day to rest from the heat. If we stay in one city and do full day trips to another city this becomes harder.

Open to any and all advice and suggestions.
Thanks.
