Even since the design stage of our kitchen, I was told this drawer would be a waste and isn't ideal. That I should do drawers.

My idea was that I could basically have hanging pots and pans (like we did in the old kitchen, except they were stationary from the ceiling) that would pull out from underneath. The size would be big enough to store a large wok and be able to hold multiple cast irons, various stainless pans, sauce pans, etc.

I was nervous this wouldn't work but I was playing around with it today and..yeah it's great. The lowest drawer holds the covers and the large wok, the hanger holds 2 cast irons, 2 sauce pans, 3 fry pans with ease.

Just wanted to share. I'm legitimately happy from this. Makes getting anything to cook with so easy.

Hey everyone. We're flying to Anchorage from Massachusetts in a couple weeks and wanted to get some last minute insight and thoughts on what I have planned. In short it's Anchorage -> Palmer (4) -> Seward (4) -> Girdwood (2)

We land in Anchorage around 3pm on the 13th. Renting a car from Turo and our first stay is in Palmer. 13th to 17th. We figured we'd drive around Anchorage a little bit, get something to eat and make our way north.

For the 3 full days we have, I was planning a trip to Talkeetna (possibly do Denali fly over). A trip to Matanuska glacier (possibly do tour), and the Independence mine. With hiking and general exploring mixed in. But those are the things we really want to do.

17th is a travel day to Seward, with stops along the way. I'd like to stop at Whittier, or at least just explore around Portage lake on the way to Seward.

18th to 20th are full days in Seward. We're doing a 6 hour or so tour of Kenai fjords, and plan to do the Tonsina point hike. Walk around Seward for part of the day, maybe go to the sea life center. I'd also like to squeeze in a kayak trip in there since I really want to maximize time on the bay.

After Seward, driving towards Girdwood but planning to stop at the Russian River/Juneau falls. Then just kind of drive around Turnagain arm and enjoy the sights.

In Girdwood, I wanted to do the aerial tram and finish with the Nordic spa. Looking for more non-adventure for the last couple days.

Flight leaves around 4pm on the 23rd so I figured we would take that time and just drive around and do some fun, easy things. We're both big pool players so I think hanging out at the billiard palace for a little bit before our flight would be a nice way to end things.
