Have you seen the movie How to Make an American Quilt???!!
Highly recommend, I just watched it.
The general synopsis is a group of women are making a quilt for one of the womens granddaughter (Winona Ryder). The movie goes into the womens intricate lives and relationships.
I felt like the movie showed great appreciation for fiber arts. While it’s focused on quilts, the fashion and other activities of the women are a bunch of different things and they’re so fabulous.
The movies thematics show how the women’s lives weren’t always prioritized. I feel like this highlights how fiber arts haven’t been prioritized because of it.
Anyways I just loved it and thought yall would too.
