Took the pictures a couple of hours ago on my way back home. If I’m lucky enough to see a free Iran in my lifetime, this is the flag I want. Plain green-white-red. No monarchy, no theocracy, only secular democracy.

A lot of this are my subjective opinions. Feel free to disagree. I am just ranting.

Looking back to January protests, I really thought ayatollahs regime was in jeopardy. I knew the January protest was not going to be the of ayatollahs, but I believed it would be the beginning of their demise. Then the inevitable happened. Protests were crushed with an iron feast, thousands were killed and thousands more were sent to the regime dungeons. But I still had hopes.

Then Israel/US attacks started. I remember thinking that these attacks were going to decimate Iran infrastructure and its ability to defend itself against foreign forces but in the contrary, they would give the regime a tighter grip over people. But seeing everyone’s optimism, I decided to jump on the bandwagon. Even after Minab disaster I thought at least we’d get rid of the regime.

Fast forward to today, I feel like an idiot. The regime seemed to be planning for this, and structured their leadership to not depend on individuals. TBH this is sort of extraordinary because I don’t think any other government can survive with 90 of its leadership wiped out.  The regime does not care. It is a death cult with no regards for human life. They just want to rule our land. Now, the economy is even worse than before and regime is ruthless as ever, so people seem to be the biggest losers of this war.

I keep hearing non-Iranians praise US: “froze their bank accounts, seized their cargo ships, locked up their crypto wallets (LMAO), killed their leaders…”. But there is zero of evidence of cracks in the regime's INTERNAL grip. Looking back, I see a legitimate revolution derailed by Israel/USA.
