PM at large corporations

Hey all,

I am going to transition to smaller construction firm as a Project Engineer to develop and get out of the ghoulag for a little bit.

Does anyone find it incredibly challenging to manage projects at F500 places? I have not had good luck in such roles.

Guidance

Hey all. Just want to gauge thoughts. I have been in an Owner's Rep role for the latter of 3/4 years. Project involvement in minor roles for ~8 years. I feel as though I am struggling and ultimately, I hate corporate entities.

Interviewed with a smaller to mid-sized company as a PE with opportunity to grow into PM. Strongly emphasized the opportunity to learn and develop. Will probably take a little bit of a pay cut. Same industry for last 5 years just different project size and complexity. Previous roles were manufacturing environment.

Has anyone followed a similar path in the last few years? Am I nuts for moving forward with this logic?
