Hey yall,

Im a Canadian starting my student visa application and was wondering if anyone had any personal experience in the showing proof of funds part of the application. Im aware that Canadians aren’t required to show proof of funds, but my school is still suggesting having them incase they ask for proof.

My parents will be helping me with proof of funds, so I was wondering if cash held in an RRSP is accepted? Based on the requirements from the UKVI I believe cash holdings in an account like that is ok (as its a savings accounts and easily accessible) but the school Im going to seems to think otherwise.

If anyone has used an RRSP as proof of funds and been successful I would be really grateful if you could lmk!
