Gt Score
Good afternoon,
I am currently transferring from the Marine Corps Infantry into the Army with the end state of attending RASP 1. I reached out a few times via email and phone call, over the course of these past few months, as my transfer is solidifying, and I am beginning the transition. I have retaken the ASVAB here in the Marine Corps. My GT score is 100 through the Marine Corps but a 99 GT with the Army as I came to find out this evening. The recruiters are trying to send me to an Infantry unit in Washington State. I am desperately trying to get into RASP 1 . I am going over as an E-4, I have completed my Advanced Unit Leader Course, my NCO course, I have deployed numerous times as a Scout Unit Leader within 2D LAR, I have all 1st Class Physical Fitness scores, clean service record. I was working towards an 11x, am I eligible upon starting my career as a soldier to obtain a 1 point waiver to volunteer for RASP 1 as an Infantryman? I want this so badly. I had aspirations to go to MARSOC but they require a 105 GT and no waiver exceptions. I studied in the field, I did the MASP classes, I worked with a tutor. I am obsessed, I just need help and I don’t know who to turn to. It just feels like one obstacle after another. I have reached out to a Ranger and he told me it took him two whole years to even join the Army and he had to retake the ASVAB as well which was encouraging and he just recently several months ago got selected for SFAS and has been in the Q Course since then, following his 5 years in Regiment.
