A friend once told me, “Life won’t stay gray forever.”

Last year was rough.

I was exhausted, distracted, and honestly not myself.

One afternoon, I met a close friend for coffee. She placed this bright orange Mini Roulis on the table, and I couldn’t stop staring at it.

I joked, “That bag has more energy than I do right now.”

She smiled and said, “Then maybe that’s exactly what you need.”

I laughed at the time, but her words stayed with me.

A few weeks later, I ended up choosing one.

Now every time I carry it, it reminds me of that conversation.

Sometimes a bag is just a bag.

And sometimes it quietly marks the moment you started feeling like yourself again.

Would you ever choose a color this bold?

The first thing I check on a bag now isn’t stitching. It’s the smell.

This sounds weird until you experience it yourself.

A while ago I received two bags that looked almost identical in photos.

Same color.

Same shape.

Same “details.”

But the second I opened them, one smelled rich and soft, almost warm.

The other smelled like glue and plastic.

That’s when I realized photos really hide a lot.

People online zoom into stamps and hardware all day, but honestly? Most people never talk about how a bag actually feels in real life.

Good leather has a subtle smell that gets better over time.

Cheap materials usually smell loud at first… then fall apart later.

Now every time I unbox a bag, I check the smell before anything else 😂

Am I the only one who does this?

I was sitting in the store pretending to “think logically” about a bag when I noticed another girl across from me doing the exact same thing 😂

At first she kept saying:

“No. Absolutely not. I don’t need another bag.”

Ten minutes later:

“Okay but the leather is REALLY nice.”

Twenty minutes later she was walking around with it on her shoulder staring into mirrors from different angles 😭

Then came the stage where she started texting photos to people.

That’s when I knew it was over.

The funniest part is that I was silently judging her while doing literally the exact same thing with a different bag.

Luxury stores really turn grown adults into emotionally confused teenagers.
