Removed this morning from my first Mercor project, would love to know why or if I am blackmarked for future projects
Hello wonderful people. I received an email today on a project that was the biggest one Mercor has ever had, apparently. I loved the work and I think I did an amazing job over 8 days. I never used AI and I even undertimed my work. I did keep google docs open to take notes, but I think that was allowed. I am cut off from slack so I cannot find out why I was let go.
The email encouraged me to apply to other projects but said: "Unfortunately, following careful review, your assessment did not align with the client's expectations. As a result, we are unable to continue your work on this specific project." I was on a call last night about the project, which has a zillion people, and the project lead said the main reasons people get kicked out is because of AI use and timefraud. I definitely had neither, and I think it was too early in this project, which started at the end of last month, to assess quality unless people were taking too long or giving lame answers. I definitely did neither.
What I want to know most is whether there is a black mark against me in my profile that recruiters can see? If yes then there is no point to apply for other gigs. Melvin is not allowed to tell me anything or to forward my email to a human. If there is a moderator here who can message me with hints about how to proceed for the future, I would eternally grateful. Gig work is gig work, I get it. No problem. But if Mercor wants great people, they have to tell us how to improve if we didn't meet standards? Thank you all!
