How do the damage numbers of a weapon affect the attack roll? For example, my barbarian player has a halberd, which does 1d10 slashing damage, but since he’s a barbarian, his hit dice is a d12. So does one like override the other, or do they combine, or something else? I’ve looked everywhere I could think to in the PHB but I still can’t find a clear answer

On every single long form video I click on, not just my own, I’m unable to remix, save, share, or report. It works for shorts, but not for long forms. This is pretty upsetting, as I have a very small channel and primarily use shorts to grow
Pretty much just the title. The flair might be a little dramatic, but it was the most apt one there was. There’s this player in my group who I’m good friends with, but she just never reads the group chat and it honestly annoys me so much when I have to track her down specifically or tell her the critical information the next day at school, because at that point why even have the group chat to begin with?
Edit: I’m gonna add some more information and context, as I’m somehow just now realizing how much I left out.
The main thing that I’m concerned about her missing is scheduling, as our group almost exclusively meets up at recess, and I always send a message in the GC the day before so everyone knows we’re meeting up for DnD. Also, I’m currently trying to schedule session one and make sure everyone knows where to go and when to be there. My school is also about to go on summer break in about a month, and I’m worried that I won’t be able to give her the information during that time
Also, this GC isn’t like relentlessly spammed with unrelated messages and videos to the point where it would be unreasonable to just sift through them in the notifications center on their phone to see if something important was said
So, I’m a brand new DM, playing with a bunch of new players. At first, I thought that the amount of spell slots was the amount of spells of that level they could cast. For example, a first level Druid has two spell slots. I thought that meant that a level one Druid only has access to two level one spells. But I read the book, and that’s not how it works. So my question is do spellcasters have access to all first level spells when they have a first level spell slot, but can only use it, in a level one Druid’s case, two times before having to rest to replenish it?
Edit: Okay, there’s way too many comments here for me to thank everyone individually, but I deeply appreciate everybody who commented on this post and helped me out. I appreciate yall, and hope you have a great day
