My great grandfather's medals (top row) and grandfather's (bottom row)

I don't know a whole lot of my great grandfather but from what I remember about my grandfather (pictured) he was a troop leader in charge of a group of three tanks during ww2. Was in a Matilda tank in Africa maybe and then a Sherman later in the war.

Any more information would a really appreciated. Thanks.
