i’ve been going back and forth on this for weeks and i still can’t decide if i’m just overthinking or if this is actually something to be careful about. i’ve been seeing a lot of ads and posts about using an online investment advisor and honestly it sounds convenient. like i don’t have to deal with banks or meet anyone in person, everything is just handled online. but at the same time, it’s literally my money we’re talking about.
what’s throwing me off is how polished everything looks. every site claims good returns, low fees, easy setup. but that also makes it feel kind of generic, like i can’t tell who’s actually legit and who’s just good at marketing.
i’m not a total beginner, i’ve done basic investing on my own, but i’m at the point where i feel like i could use some guidance. just not sure if trusting an online investment advisor is the right move or if i should just keep doing things myself.
for those who’ve actually tried one, what made you trust them in the first place? did you start small or go all in? and did it actually work out or did you regret it later?
