Hi everyone,
I need some advice about my betta because I think he might have early fin rot.

The tank is 25 liters, with a filter and heater. Until recently he was in great condition: full open fins, bright colors, and very active. In the last few days, I’ve noticed his fins becoming frayed with some reddish edges.

I already did a 25% water change and I’m trying to keep the water as clean as possible. Since yesterday, though, he seems more lethargic: he spends a lot of time resting on the bottom and is less active than usual.

I haven’t started any medication yet, but I’m considering using non-iodized salt or possibly moving to an antibacterial treatment.

What do you think:
- is this still an early stage or is it getting worse?
- should I continue with just water changes + salt, or start medication right away?
- if medication is recommended, which one would you suggest for this situation?

Thanks a lot to anyone who can help
