Any time someone says they have a dog or a cat or whatever, they feel the need to dig through their phone and shove unsolicited pictures of Mr Bagel in your face.

I dont need to look at this animal I've never met. I don't care. I know what a cat looks like. But you can't say that or you're the asshole. You have to coo and give heart eyes so they will put their phone away and we can go back to our conversation.

(I am an animal lover with a dog I love so so much and I am BAFFLED when strangers ask to see pictures)
