Which Should I Stream For Long Term Growth?
I'm pretty set on sticking with MMOs to stream and grow on Twitch with, but there's two games that I equally admire and only have time for one. I've already weighed all the pros and cons from a gameplay perspective, but I need to view this on a 10 year timespan.
FFXIV: The main draw here is community, personal branding and very art friendly. One of my projects is to make my own fanfic graphic novel and it would be easy to take aspects of FFXIV and put them in a comic setting. I have a player house as well which gives me some extra leverage for creative avenues I can go with. The biggest limitations for me is lack of voice acting and tap target combat. Everything else in the game almost .ales up for it.
ESO: I'm a huge Elder Scrolls fan in general and I do enjoy the combat and housing system a lot. There's also a lot of freedom with fanfic and making your own storylines so from a creative perspective this is the best option. However the lack of a photo mode and trying to do group activities can become a challenge in this game. Not a big fan of the guild trader system too, which forces trade guilds and the crap that comes with it.
Wanted some outside perspective from experienced streamers on how they would tackle the decision on a 10 year timeline.
