I did really enjoy the movie. I know some people aren't pleased with the relative lack of mobile suit fights in the films so far, but I honestly think the restraint they're showing so far has made both films much better. My biggest criticisms are fairly minor, one being when you have Hiroyuki fuckin' Sawano doing your scoring, why the hell do you slap two pop songs into the opening and ending titles of your movie, and second >!I find I just don't particularly enjoy seeing characters go through their worst mental health moments on screen.!<Hits too close to home for me.

I think I liked the first film just a hair better, but I'd definitely pay to see this one again in a heartbeat.
