Hi, I am a 29 year old male and I work remotely for my current job. I'm originally from the Chicago area but live in Lafayette, Louisiana now (long story but my old job before I got my remote one was here and I've just stayed in Lafayette for now because I've made a lot of good friends here and I like the culture and nature of the south Louisiana area). I am debating new cities to relocate to in the near future and I've considered Tallahassee
I'm curious about some things regarding possibly moving to Tallahassee:
I'm a single guy with no kids (but am open to kids) but I am fairly social and I am big into outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, general exploring, herping, birdwatching, and boating.
How are the dating scenes and social scenes in Tallahassee? I don't really use dating apps anymore; I typically just approach women in-person now and I do like bars, breweries, and festivals. I imagine it is good, given FSU is there.
How is the outdoor activity culture in Tallahassee? Especially for nature lovers. I am aware that Reno and the surrounding areas are pretty good for skiing and hiking, but does Tallahassee offer any "naturalist groups" or birdwatching groups or herping groups or wildlife-related acitvities (I do like hunting, but I'm talking groups so excluding hunting in this case)
How is the art and science culture in Tallahassee? I am an emerging artist and I also do some science communication too
How is cost of living in Tallahassee?
Thank you
