Many thanks to this community for all the helpful comments. I was devastated because that meant I had to open it and risk breaking something (as I always usually do). But not this time. Properly fixed, cleaned, and charging with new batteries. Vast majority of the comments on the previous post were super kind! So thank you!!!!

Life happened and I couldn’t game for almost a year. I finally have free time, plop down on the couch, and the controller wouldn’t turn. I should’ve known better… curse you AA batteries!!!!

EDIT: sorry, forgot to mention that I can’t clean it and be good. The negative contact that comes out at an angle just like the + contact on the left snapped because of how brittle it was.
