I know this was announced a few days ago, but I can’t get over it. First of all, the return of Elgort after some very gnarly accusations proves what one commenter said: men don’t get canceled, they get put in time out. But it’s the absolute boneheadedness of this move for Wayfarer that adds an extra layer. This quote I’ve highlighted from the Deadline article is absurd and yet completely on brand for Wayfarer: thumping themselves on the back for their “precision, care, and respect” while also helping a man escape the consequences of his terrible behavior.
