Has anyone dealt with nerve pain after surgery? How long did it last and what helped you relieve it? I have an incision that started stinging and burning about a week and a half after surgery. Sometimes if I move wrong it feels like an electric shock. At night I can’t lay on my back or my right side, I have to get positioned very specifically and then not move to sleep. It’s not bad during the day when I’m moving around unless I move funny. I had my post-surgery check up today and everything was healing right, it’s not infection and no hernia. Just nerves healing so I’m not concerned about that. I’ve been using ice and a compression bandage which does help but I’m wondering if you all have any tricks and what your experience with healing from it was. I’m only two weeks post-op and I know healing is a journey but this is a very unfamiliar, strange sensation. I’m also going to have to fly for a work trip on Monday and sit in a classroom for 8 hours a day so want to be prepared.
