Last fall I let my hyperfocus fixate on collecting seeds from my wild violets. (Pic here is winter sowing a bunch of different other mostly native flowering plants, including one jug of violets.) Everything I read then suggested they flower in spring and fall, but only make seeds in fall — but now I observe this is untrue!
So here’s my question —
Has anyone tried to grow violets in the spring from their spring seeds? Obviously the fall seeds need cold stratification — but do the spring seeds germinate too?
I’m about to experiment; wondering if others have already tried.
