Was going into Real Estate right for you?
Hello! I'm questioning changing my direction in life and I'm privileged to say that Real Estate could be a viable option for me. I'm doing an online course right now, and may progress to a full degree but I would really appreciate some insight from anyone that is/was a real estate agent or works in the field of property management in Zimbabwe.
I know typically people say it's a lucrative business and therefore financially stable for the most part, but beyond that, why did you choose it? Was there a passion or interest in how the system works? Were you more into it because maybe you could provide some social change? I'm an artist at heart, but with how the world is going, that isn't a space I've been able to occupy to look after myself.
I know this a very lucky position I'm in, but I want to have more confidence that this is a field I can engage in and not feel miserable after a decade or so. Doing Real Estate would ultimately serve my goal of funding other projects I will create that deal with homelessness and mental health( but this will be some years into the future). But if I can get honest feedback, it might save me from pursuing a degree in something that will feel mismatched for me and my goals. I appreciate any insight anyone can share!
