I am getting out of military in about six months and I’m trying to make sure that I receive the appropriate VA compensation. Since I’ve been in I’ve been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, and sleep apnea. I’ve documented that I get migraines at night that’s prevent me from sleeping. Usually I get like 2 to 3 hours and then a couple days a week I’ll get 5-6 hours. I’ve had ACL surgery using my patella tendon as the new ACL. I have had a bone shaved down in my foot because I had an extra navicular bone that grew because I rolled my ankle during PT. And because of ACL and foot issues I’ve also had a gait problems that have caused me to have hip pain and lower back pain. There’s a couple other really small things that I’m gonna try to claim. They’re probably gonna be like 10% like tinnitus. I don’t imagine I’ll get sleep apnea because I don’t think I have it I think I just have insomnia. Anyways, with all that said when I plug all this into a VA disability calculator I’m at like 80%, which is good but I do wonder if there’s other things that I should be claiming that I’m just not thinking about? The whole VA claims system is really overwhelming and I just wanna make sure that I do this correctly so I don’t get hit with like a 30% rating because I didn’t do it right. Thank you for any help you give me.
