Last minute acceptance as an international student.

I was wondering if being an international student is a disadvantage when schools are selecting applicants off the waitlist this late in the application cycle (June-August)? People keep telling me that I still have a chance and that they know of many people getting off in July even August. I am still waiting to hear back from a school and really hope I can get off the waitlist but worried that because I will need a visa, the school will be less inclined to select me as visa timelines can be lengthy. I really want to start next cycle but not sure if I should give up on this hope as it is almost June?

what’s going on with USC this cycle?

I’ve heard there has only been two acceptance waves so far (Dec 15 and Mar 2)? Do we know if there is gonna be another “wave” soon/ if the class is officially full and now the school is picking single people at a time off the waitlist. Why has USC not been following their usual acceptance timeline and does the BBB have anything to do with this? If anyone has any insight please let me know!
