I added a fishing analytics dashboard to my app - here's what the data actually shows anglers

One pattern I kept hearing from anglers: they *think* they know when and where they catch the most fish. The data usually tells a different story.

So I built an analytics dashboard into FishLogPro.com After you log enough trips, it breaks down:

  • Fish caught by month (so you actually see your seasonal patterns)
  • Which species you're landing most
  • Which baits are producing vs. which ones you just *think* are producing
  • How weather conditions correlate with your catch rate

Most people are shocked by the bait data. You've been throwing that one lure for years. Turns out it's responsible for maybe 20% of your catches. The drop shot you wrote off? It's your best producer by a wide margin.

The weather correlation is the other one that gets people. Some anglers are genuinely more productive in overcast conditions and have no idea because they never tracked it.

This is the stuff guides and tournament anglers have always kept in notebooks. I just made it automatic.

What patterns have you noticed in your own fishing that surprised you when you actually paid attention?
