Gotta do the day 0 post

Ended up not getting LET in the end but got ACL reconstructed from hamstring graft had some meniscus repair on my medial and lateral menisicus but I think my lateral was a bit too damaged to be fully recovered.

Been given the okay to weight bare as much as I can tolerate with 90 degree flexion, pain hasnt fully set in yet but been taking pain meds to prevent this 😆

I wanna be back in sports ASAP so rehab begins now 💪 (with moderation ofc)

I'm having surgery on the weekend for ACL reconstruction + medial and lateral meniscal repair + tenodesis

I originally had a grade 2 MCL tear as well but apparently this has healed

I got injured just under 6 months ago playing volleyball and this is my first surgery in general.

Just wanted to know if y'all have any pointers for post op recovery, I've heard it can be pretty painful the first week? How was the surgery for you? Any underrated tips that made life a bit easier after?

My ultimate goal is to get back to volleyball so figure I'll just do what I'm told to do in terms of PT like I've been doing for prehab.

Would love to hear your thoughts as a lurker for this reddit since my diagnosis
