I call this a Franken-quilt because it's many different patterns from different designers, all mixed into one quilt. The center section with the stag is from Quilt Play Designs, and represents Cernunnos. The pedestal with the hammer is from Fans in Stitches, and represents Thor. The paintbrushes are from Sew Lucky Patterns and Kits on Etsy, and represents Lugh. I have two crows, one for Hel and the other for The Morrigan, a pair of cats for Frigg/Freyja and to present my cats (they passed away in 2022 and 2024), and moon phases for the top and bottom sections. I'm hoping to have this finished by June, but I'm limited to two hours a day and ten hours a week, because my body is a brat.

All of these are made using foundation paper piecing, my favorite technique for quilting. It'll finish around 30x30 inches, and will be machine quilted. I'm thinking about hiring someone at a local quilt shop to do the quilting for me this time, rather than doing it myself.

This pattern is from Quiet Play. It's a lot of pages and many tiny pieces, but I love out it turned out. I have a few of her other patterns, and intend to combine some of them together because I think they would look wonderful. Next time I use this pattern, though, I think I'll go with a different machine quilting design. It's not laying as flat as I like. Currently, the finished quilt is hanging on a wall in my living room.
