I got tired of losing track of my anime across 5 platforms, so I built an automated Notion setup
Keeping track of what I was watching across Crunchyroll, Netflix, and HiDive was getting messy. My old spreadsheets were dead, and I kept forgetting where I left off on seasonal drops.
I wanted a "set it and forget it" system, so I spent the last few weeks connecting the AniList API to Notion using Make.com blueprints.
Here is what it does entirely in the background:
- Whenever I add a show on AniList, it auto-generates a full Notion page with the cover art, genres, and episode counts.
- When a new episode of a tracked show airs, my server gets an instant Discord ping.
- When I mark a show as completed, it auto-archives it out of my active watchlist.
It's been running flawlessly for a month now and I haven't had to manually log a single episode. Just wanted to share the build!
Would you guys have any feedback on this!
Thanks a lot :)
