I know its a hot topic, and you can try to deter me if you want, but I came here to ask(for those of you who have done it) did you still go to the hospital afterwards for the heel prick mainly? I am thinking Id have no way of knowing if baby does have some rare genetic disease and that the test could still be useful for that knowledge. Im also wondering about time windows. I figure i can call an ambulance whenever if I feel I want to go in, but if all goes well and baby and I are chilling...how long do I wait before going in for that sort of thing? Is there likely going to be other stuff they want to do? Is there a timeframe where its been too long and they wont perform the test at all? Please and thanks.
