There’s this stray cat that started showing up near my place a few weeks ago. At first, it wouldn’t come close just sat at a distance and watched me like I was the suspicious one.

I started leaving a little food out, nothing fancy. Slowly, day by day, it got closer.

Now it actually waits for me.

The funny part? It still acts like it doesn’t care. Like it’s doing me a favor by showing up. But the moment I sit down, it comes nearby and just chills.

No words. No expectations.

It’s weird how animals can create a connection without saying anything. No fake energy, no overthinking just presence.

I didn’t realize how much I needed that kind of quiet companionship.

Thinking of naming it… but also feels like it already has a personality bigger than any name I could give 😄

Anyone else bonded with a random stray like this?

I don’t know why, but today felt heavier than usual. Too many thoughts, too much noise, too much screen time. So I just walked outside and sat under this random tree near my house.

No phone. No music. Just… quiet.

At first it felt weird, like my brain didn’t know what to do without constant stimulation. But after a few minutes, I started noticing small things the way the leaves moved with the wind, birds jumping between branches, the sunlight flickering through gaps.

Nothing magical happened. No life-changing realization.

But I felt lighter.

It made me realize how disconnected we’ve become from simple things that don’t demand anything from us. Nature doesn’t care about your deadlines or strest it just exists.

Maybe that’s why it feels so peaceful.

Anyone else ever just sit outside and do nothing… and somehow feel better?
