New build snag - apparently no insulation on the party wall

Is this bad?

Moved into a new build 15 months ago and have wondered whether the amount of noise we can hear from the neighbors is normal. So we decided to get a professional snagging survey completed.

It appears that there is an uncapped void running down the side of the house opening into the attic space (this is where pipes/wiring is pulled up to the second floor).

Surveyor has also said that it appears that there are gaps in the insulation on the party wall.

Also, plain plasterboard has been used in the attic rather than the fireproof version.

Surveyor says to be sure about what insulation is between us and the neighbors, they need to take bricks out along the party line and literally look down between the houses.

It seems like the amount of noise we hear through the wall is related to the amount of insulation used.

Surveyor has also said there is only 100mm gap where current regulations call for 150mm, although the builder could say that they can do this depending on when planning permission was granted.

It’s a Taylor Wimpey build in England.

I’m dreading how much back and forth there will be with Taylor Wimpey asking them to rectify these things.
