Should I request pet or keep secret?
I’m moving to Victoria in a few months and just signed a lease. It’s in a student accomodation type building. In the lease, it says that you can request a pet and a landlord can reasonably reject it. I have a cat, and currently keep it secret from my landlord as I’m living in a different state and my current apartment does not allow pets at all. If I fill out the form for my cat and they say no then I’ll have to keep her secret anyway, but they might know that I have her. I just am not sure if they would let me and I’m too afraid to ask and am considering continuing just to keep her a secret. I’m
Not sure what a reasonable rejection would be as that seems vague. I was thinking about asking them more about their pet policies but I really don’t want to draw any attention to my cat if not necessary
