The Problem: As a developer, I often struggle to find specific 2-D assets that fit my project's vision. Lately, I’ve been approached by artists on Discord, but there’s a mismatch: they frequently showcase 3D portfolios when I strictly need 2D work. Browsing sites like Fiverr or ArtStation can be time-consuming because I have to vet each artist individually.
The Concept: I’m looking for a platform that functions like a bounty board for game assets. Instead of me hunting for artists, I want to:
- Post a Brief: Detail the specific game assets needed (style, resolution, animation frames).
- Set a Price: State exactly what I’m willing to pay for the completion of that task.
- Receive Pitches: Have interested artists come to me with relevant samples.
The Questions:
- Does a dedicated "bounty" platform for game assets already exist?
- Would artists actually be interested in this "request-first" model, or do they prefer traditional commissions?
- Are there specific subreddits or Discord communities that facilitate this type of transaction effectively?
