How Worried Should We Be?

My mom (in her 60s) just got her mammogram done a couple weeks ago. She's religious about getting it done every year and for the first time ever she's had to go back for an ultrasound. She's scheduled to go back in for it tomorrow. Here's a transcript of the letter she got from the hospital:

"Dear [REDACTED],

Your recent 3D screening mammogram with implants performed on April 28, 2026, showed a finding that requires additional imaging studies for a complete evaluation.

You may contact [REDACTED] Mammography a Dept. of [REDACTED] Hospital scheduling at [REDACTED PHONE NUMBER] to make an appointment if you have not already done so. Be aware that this may require additional authorization from your health insurance.

Breast tissue can be either dense or not dense. Dense tissue makes it harder to find breast cancer on a mammogram and also raises the risk of developing breast cancer. Your breast tissue is dense. In some people with dense breast tissue, other imaging tests in addition to a mammogram may help find cancers. Talk to your healthcare provider about breast density, risks for breast cancer, and your individual situation.

The results of this procedure have been sent to Dr. [REDACTED].

We look forward to seeing you for your future breast imaging needs. Thank you for choosing [REDACTED] Mammography a Dept. of [REDACTED] Hospital for your breast health needs.

Sincerely,

[REDACTED]"

For context, about a year ago, after her last mammogram, she had some very old ruptured breast implants replaced, so I'm not sure if that changes the calculation.

Any insight would be great. Or words of encouragement cause she's very worried. Thank you
