Hi everyone I'm an american highschool summer exchange student who recently arrived in Taiwan and I need a physical sim card. At the airport I tried buying one and they asked for my passport and said I had to be 18 to get a sim card.

I think I'll really need a Taiwanese prepaid card since data with my parent's phone plan is super expensive especially internationally. I asked my program directors about it and they recommended I ask my parents to send me their passport information and make a sim card purchase with that.

Do you all know if that would work?
