Anyone actually beat Achilles tendinitis without completely stopping training?
I've dealt with this on and off and the biggest thing for me was learning that Achilles pain usually doesn't respond well to the all or nothing approach. What helped most was reducing the stuff that was really aggravating it, staying consistent with calf raises and keeping some movement in my routine instead of shutting everything down completely. For the rougher days, I've had decent luck with topical products. I've used Ketro skin a bit when my Achilles was especially irritated and it seemed to take the edge off enough to stay active while working through the rehab side of things. Is yours worse first thing in the morning or does it mainly show up during runs and workouts? That usually tells a pretty different story.
