HR and BP issues
This is regarding my husband, 31M. He has asthma, anxiety, depression, and seizures. He just started taking lamotrigine 25 mg, losartan 25 mg, propranolol 10 mg PRN, and albuterol inhaler PRN.
So this started about a month ago. We’ve been to the ER 4 times within that month timeframe. These episodes consist of tachycardia (sometimes 130-150 but as high as 180s), hypertension (highest was 181/115), nausea, and chest pain (described as a bruise but it doesn’t radiate). Sometimes dizziness. He’s had clean chest X-rays and CT. All labs are also normal. Also, the episodes start gradually.
The doctors at the ER treat the episodes each time but have no idea why this keeps happening. He has also been evaluated by cardiology and they think this is just panic attacks and anxiety. I do NOT agree with this diagnosis. We are at our wits end and he is getting depressed over constantly feeling unwell.
Is there anything we should be asking about or other testing? Thanks in advance for any help. It’s so appreciated!
