PhD faculty assesment.

Hi,

I was shortlisted and interviewed for a PhD position at NTNU. A few weeks later, I received an email from HR stating that they are currently conducting my grade assessment and will update me on the recruitment process. They also asked me for some additional documents. What does this mean? Do all shortlisted candidates (in my case, there were 3) go through this assessment? And can the faculty change the decision originally made by the PhD supervisor? How long do you think I have to wait?

Hi,

I had an interview for a PhD at NTNU, and I am one of the shortlisted candidates. A few days back, I got an email from HR stating that my application is under grade assessment and they asked for some additional original documents of my Bachelor's Degree. To get those documents, I have to travel back to the place where my university was, and it would take a couple of weeks to obtain them. I don't know how serious this original document requirement is, because I have already submitted the one with grades. So, I replied to HR about my situation, asking for further clarification on what they are actually asking or possible deadline before which I should submit it. But I have not gotten any reply from them yet. What can be done in such a case? I would appreciate your help. Thank you very much.
