I'm just looking to rant a little bit, because the feeling is bitter sweet. I got rated at 100% PT today and that's more money then I could imagine. I'm immediately grateful. On the same hand, I'm 25 and can't ever be physical again because burn pits have destroyed by lungs (syria, yeah I'm young haha), my legs swell, my kneecaps try to dislocate themselves. I'm very grateful for the money and benefits. I'd just give it all up in a heartbeat to be normal again. To not stress in the middle of the night if I'm going to die at the ripe age of 50 on a ventilator. To wish I could run again and play soccer with my friends. I'm grateful for the benefits we are given, I just wish non civilian folk could realize why we receive them.
