Weird sidewalk interaction this morning
Walking my dog on Greenpoint ave towards mcguinness this morning and had one of the weirdest sidewalk interactions.
I was walking down Greenpoint Ave toward McGuinness on the right side of the sidewalk (which I feel like most people naturally do since it follows traffic flow). This guy is walking directly toward me and instead of either of us doing the normal slight move people do to pass each other, he literally walks straight into me.
I was caught off guard and leaned closer to the building to make space, but then he basically cornered me there and said “you need to move because I’m not moving.” Meanwhile my dog was now stuck underneath/in between us and I tried explaining that, and he just repeated “you better move because I’m not.”
At that point I walked backwards to get around him and told him he needed to reassess his attitude and then he called me a bitch
I genuinely have no issue moving for people on sidewalks. That’s normal city life. But the aggressive attitude and weird power trip behavior was so unnecessary. Happy Friday I guess
