Moved into this house 2 years ago, the garden was a mess. The grass was 50% weeds, there was a huge tree stump that had knocked the paving slabs out and nothing was level.

SO, we decided to rip it out, and tried to do it ourselves to save some money.

After 3 weeks of filling a skip in the evenings after work, a busted kneed and a very sore back, im sick of this garden and want it finished ASAP

The non-shaded area is where I want grass. I'm stuck between getting turf or grass seed and hope someone could give me some advice!

My partner thinks if we get grass seed we wouldnt have to shift as much dirt as we would if we got turf (hard to see in the picture but the ground is quite uneven)
