I just realized I can condense my frustrations about Gemini by using Gemini.
TLDR: To those saying nothing has changed since the update, I present to you a 90 minute debugging of a Gem that was once again, completely useless. Every answer to a problem was wrong and if I asked about it, gemini would then side with me.
I've been yelling at the sky the past couple of days, and after my most recent 'Gem Debugging' session with Gemini, I asked it to compile all the times it contradicted itself. 5 questions in around 90 minutes got me 10 answers. I wasn't trying to trip it up, I wasn't trying to make rage bate for reddit, I am sincerely trying to fix major problems that started happening yesterday. The problems themselves are incredibly frustrating, but the absolute game breaking, aneurysm causing problem is that Gemini itself (not my gem) has no fucking idea whats going on. If I ask it any sort of follow up question, its brain melts. It gives absolutely horrible advice and when I push back on it, it'll blame me for its errors.
There is even a bonus contradiction that it didn't pick up in its scan: It told me at one point, "since emersion is a non-negotiable for you, there is no way you can fix this Gem with set guidelines" to which I replied "wait, so if emersion wasn't important, how would I fix it using guidelines?" and it said "There is actually no way to fix it with guidelines, even if emersion wasn't important. This is a major blackout caused by the update"
So it's truly confusing to me that other people are saying there's nothing wrong with Flash 3.5. It's been two days of use on my end, and I can confidently say that it hasn't given me a single piece of information that was factual and about 80% of the time it doesn't give me information that is even relevant! Gemini has always had these problems but they were a slow drift into madness. This thing is going primal from the get go and it's driving me insane!
