Today I was scammed by someone I matched with on Hinge. We had planned to meet, and he said he would pick me up in his car.

A little later, he called saying he couldn't use his payment method and asked me to transfer ₹2,000 for petrol, promising to reimburse me through net banking when we met. Soon after, he requested another ₹4,000, claiming he wanted to fill the tank in one go. I transferred that as well.

He then called again asking for an additional ₹4,000, saying he was buying flowers for me. I told him I didn't want flowers and asked him to come directly instead. Within seconds, he blocked me on Hinge and everywhere else.
