AT&T and International Day Pass issue
I did a lot of research to get ready for Japan and ensuring my phone works. I am on AT&T and I have an iPhone that I haven’t paid off yet.
I checked Reddit research and asked AT&T AI Erica for help, so I thought I was set. When I touch down in Japan l, I should get a text and I would connect.
So when I touched down, my wife’s phone worked but not my own.
I eventually realized after much soul searching that my account phone number had IDP deactivated while hers was activated. I had to go into myatt and activate the setting manually for my phone. Afterward, my phone worked well.
So learn from me!
Check your account to ensure the IDP is active on your phone.
So far it is good! Hotspot works well for the kiddos and I am happy. But I had a heart attack and agita initially.
